Personal background was included in the discussion of the relation among the three issues. Prediction of working burnout from job stress, physical and mental health on China Steel Corporation employees was also analyzed. Survey method was used in this study. The participants were employees in the Kaohsiung factory of China Steel Corporation. They were grouped by personal background. The study tool is a survey of job stress, physical and mental health, and working burnout for China Steel Corporation employees. 491 out of 500 forms were returned. The return rate is 98.2%. Descriptive covariance, independent sample t test, one-way ANOVA, two-way ANOVA, Pearson product moment correlation, and stepwise multiple regression analysis were used. The results were as followed: 1. In job stress issue, China Steel Corporation employees experience less sensitivity. It does not make much difference according to age, marital status, education level, working experience, working shift, and title. 2. In physical and mental health issue, China Steel Corporation employees have a good response. It does not make much difference according to age and working shift. 3. In working burnout issue, China Steel Corporation employees experience less sensitivity. It does not make much difference according to age, martial status, education level, working experience, working shift, title and religion. 4. In job stress and physical and mental health issues, high group has higher points on job stress and physical and mental health questions than mid group. Mid group also has higher points than low group. 5. There is a noticeable correlation among job stress, physical and mental health and working burnout. a. Job stress is highly positively correlated with physical and mental health for China Steel Corporation employees. b. Job stress is highly positively correlated with working burnout for China Steel Corporation employees. c. Physical and mental health is highly positively correlated with working burnout for China Steel Corporation employees. 6. The job stress and physical and mental health contribute to the prediction of business burnout for China Steel Corporation employees. According to the results, suggestions have been proposed to China Steel Corporation, its employees and the Labor Union, as well as the follow-up researchers.
