First, this study understands the condition among fathering perception, fathering involvement and well-being of Kaohsiung district court staffs. Secondly, it compares with the differences and explores the relationship among fathering perception, fathering involvement and well-being. Finally, this study understands whether fathering perception and fathering involvement effectively predict well-being or not. This study applies questionnaires to investigate the fathers working in Kaohsiung district court in 2009. There were sent 252 questionnaires out and 239 valid samples were collected. The tools of this study included “basic survey form”, “fathering perception scale”, “fathering involvement scale”, “ well-being scale”. The data were analyzed by using mean, Standard deviation, T-test, One-way ANOVA, Pearson’s correlation, Stepwise multiple regression analysis. The conclusions of this study are as follows: 1. The representation of fathering perception and fathering involvement was above average for those fathers were working in Kaohsiung district court, especially, “concern and guide” was the best. They were under 40 years old. 2. The representation of fathering perception was better than fathering involvement for those fathers were working in Kaohsiung district court. There was the least difference in “take care and teach” and the most difference in “guide schoolwork and cooperate”. 3. The experience of well-being was in the middle scale for those fathers were working in Kaohsiung district court. The perception of “life satisfaction” was higher and has a positive attitude. 4. The representation of fathering perception and fathering involvement was opposite when fathers had one or two children in Kaohsiung district court. 5. The representation of fathering perception and fathering involvement in “support family and being a model” was the best for Secretary in Kaohsiung district court . 6. The representation of fathering perception was higher and fathering involvement was better for those fathers were working in Kaohsiung district court. 7. The representation of fathering perception and fathering involvement was more positive in “concern and guide” and higher in “life satisfaction” and “self-affirmation” for those fathers were working in Kaohsiung district court. 8. The representation of fathering perception and fathering involvement was effectively predicting well-being for those fathers were working in Kaohsiung district court. Especially, the main predictive variables were “take care and teach” of fathering perception and “concern and guide” and “guide schoolwork and cooperate” of fathering involvement.
