Summary: | 碩士 === 國立高雄第一科技大學 === 機械與自動化工程所 === 98 === When it comes to the designs of bicycle hub, the main direction of forging are lightweight and near net shape. In order to achieve the idea of “light weight”, we should use the high specific strength to the material so that we can reduce the amount of materials using in making products lighter weight to increase their value. The near net shape forging, it is used in the multi-action forging die set to reduce the usage of materials and decrease the machining amount. These will result in lower cost during manufacturing the parts.
Therefore, the purpose of this study was to develop a bicycle hub with the horizontal of multi-action forging. First, the information of developed multi-action forging die set will be collected and be analyses. Then, the die set is designed and developed by combining a link mechanism and a hydraulic clamping mechanism. Second, through the CAD software to design hubs forging, and for the design of the work piece to DEFORM software for near net shape forging forming simulation, to determine the optimal design of the forging. Finally, the feasibility of the die set is investigated by a kind of forging process such as the warm forging of AA 7xxx-Sc aluminum alloy.
The results show that: first, the horizontal multi-action forging with two directions is feasible through the simulation of DEFORM. Second, the bicycle hub is forged successfully by the developed die set and the flow lines of the forgings are reasonable. Third, the dimensions and tolerances are in compliance with the requirements of subsequent processing. In the actual forging experiment, the clamping force is set at 241 tons and forming the required load of about 88 tons.
