There are surface tests, tensile strength tests, sectional tests, fatigue tests, hardness tests and peel tests in this method. It usually decides on the grade when asked for the strength and surface tests of the weld in the choosing method but it will increase time and cost. The non-destructive tests require expensive equipment and take a long time for training but eventually it is fast and cost saving. The destructive tests mostly check the strength of the weld and the equipment is too bulky and not to move. In the resistance spot welding, to break the weld by manpower is the simplest and the quality of weld is checked by the eye. To use the various welding parameter combinations in this essay explores the surface, tensile strength and hardness. Then it would derive the optimal parameter design of lithium ion cell connection using resistance spot welding for tensile strength and hardness of resistance spot welding from Taguchi-PCA and Fuzzy-based Taguchi-PCA. So it would really improve the quality of the weld.
