Summary: | 碩士 === 國立高雄第一科技大學 === 運籌管理所 === 98 === The operations of global logistics are critical for manufacturers to obtain advantages in the global market. However, the selection of global logistics mode is a complicated decision because it has to consider various objectives under uncertain environment. In order to provide solutions for such an important decision problem for manufacturers, this study applies influence diagram method to construct a multi-objective decision model with the consideration of the qualitative and quantitative factors. According to the literature survey, this model contains the uncertain factors of tariffs, revenues, operation costs, and investment environment. Besides, feasible alternatives include full-production in home country, deep-processing in home country, deep-processing in host country, full-production in host country, and some mixed combinations of the above choices. To select the best proposed global logistics alternative for manufacturers, the utility theory and analytical hierarchical process are also applied to evaluate the payoff in the model.
For assessing the applicability of the model, the study acquired data and information from a case study with a manufacturer. Empirical findings suggest that the investment in Taiwan with full-operation satisfies the concerns of decision makers, while the investment in Vietnam with deep processing performs the worst. In one-way sensitivity analysis, the optimum alternative will be altered if the unit price of finished products and the political stability vary. In the future, manufacturers can find out the ideal global logistics mode by way of moderating the proposed multi-objective decision model according to their logistics operations.
