Summary: | 碩士 === 國立高雄海洋科技大學 === 輪機工程研究所 === 98 === Lip-driven cavity flow is chosen as the test problem to verify our currently developed numerical method. In our formulation, solution gradient for accurate discretization is determined by solving its corresponding governing equation rather than interpolated from solution values as in conventional schemes. A polygonal staggered grid system is incorporated in our formulation to take account for the possible complicated domains in practical problems. Possible pressure checkerboard field in collocated grid system can be completely eliminated in our proposed grid system. Computational results are compared with the available benchmark solution in terms of flow filed, locations of vortex centers, vortex strength and cross sectional profiles. All the results make themselves as stringent evidences that our present formulation will be a feasible tool to simulate complicated incompressible flow problems.
