The unique nature of these networks poses various technological challenges to system design. On the other hand, sensor networks comprise one of the most important building blocks for various context-aware computing and emerging smart home technologies. In this thesis, we introduce the concept of middleware into sensor networks. Moreover, we show how mobile agents over the built-in middleware Agilla could largely reduce communications cost and energy consumption of a typical wireless sensor network. Last but not least, we propose a fault-tolerance mechanism for distributed mobile agent coordination. We believe that the presented concept and techniques would advance the development of future living environment based on sensor networks. Szu-Chi Wang 王思齊 2010 學位論文 ; thesis 48 zh-TW
