Summary:碩士 === 南華大學 === 非營利事業管理研究所 === 98 ===   This study aimed to explore the relationship between the implementation of after-school counseling and the academic achievements of children of foreign spouses in Puzih of Chiayi County. A quantitative research approach is conducted through questionnaire by collecting data of background variables, after-school counseling variables, and school variables. Supplemented by interviews with teachers and foreign spouses, the study shows the connotation and academic module of after-school counseling.     The research has the following results: 1. There is no significant difference found between the gender, grade, family status of students and the category of participating in after-school counseling in academic achievement. 2. The mother''s nationality, educational level and occupation show no significant difference in academic achievement. However, the ways of discipline does. 3. Father''s educational level and occupation show no significant difference in academic achievement. Also, the ways of discipline does. 4. Teacher''s gender, educational level, marital status, age and school size show no significant difference in academic achievement. 5. The attitude of students, parents and teachers toward after-school counseling show no significant difference in academic achievements. 6. There are significant correlations existed between the academic achievement of the first and second semester; as well as the academic achievements of different subjects.
