A quasi-experimental research method is applied to test six core characters named "caring", "responsibility", "respect", "courage", "patience", and "honesty". The samples are selected form top and middle classes children of two kindergartens in Chia-Yi County. They are divided into control group and experimental group. Each group consists of 76 children. Experimental group proceeds 40 minutes of character education on picture book teaching once a week in a period of six weeks while control group carries normal teaching. The study utilizes multiple intelligence checklists and children character checklists as research instruments. It tests samples before and after taking character education teaching. The data obtained is coded and analyzed by statistical software to explore different classes'' children performance character capability on multiple intelligence in experimental group. Also, to distinct the difference between experimental group and control group on the performance of character capability before and after teaching. Further, to understand the extent of variables (e.g. gender, class type) affect children''s character capability before and after taking character education teaching. The outcomes of the study are as follows: 1.Higher class children perform better on character capability in multiple intelligence than lower class children. 2.After taking character teaching, experimental group perform better on character capability than control group. 3.There is no significant difference between genders on character capability. 4.Top class children perform better than middle class children on character capability. 5.There are positive correlations on six core character capabilities in experimental group.
