Summary: | 碩士 === 國立花蓮教育大學 === 視覺藝術教育研究所 === 98 === In recent years, Taiwan government has devoted to develop computer animation industries because of the trend of digital technologies evolving. Some reports reveal that a moderate change is happening on Taiwanese computer animation industries from original design manufacturing (ODM) to original brand manufacturing (OBM). Consequently, medium and high level talents for the professional integration are getting hotter than preliminary level ones for technical operation. However, the relevant computer animation departments or schools of Taiwan universities always pay more attention to the technical courses with a lack of the complete cultivation program.
Document analysis and modified Delphi method were used in this study. The teaching documents, research papers, and industry reports were adopted as the references to analyze and induce the appropriate program with educational goals and core courses. Based on the analysis, questionnaires were designed for this study. Through three rounds of questionnaire survey and experts’ suggestions, the results demonstrated that the computer animation program for talent training should be included in three domains: (1) Animation Content Writing and Production, (2) Creative Animation Design and Aesthetics, and (3) Animation Planning and Project Management.
The “Animation Content Writing and Production” domain comprises 7 courses to cultivate students the abilities of storytelling and script writing. The “Creative Animation Design and Aesthetics” domain consists of 5 courses for enhancing students’ capabilities of creative thinking and aesthetic design. There are 7 courses on the “Animation Planning and Project Management” domain to train and enrich students’ experiences of production planning and project management in computer animation. The result of this study can provide an important reference and guideline on the university curriculum program design in computer animation for training professional talents and higher education reform in contemporary Taiwan.
