Summary: | 碩士 === 國立新竹教育大學 === 人資處數學教育碩士班 === 98 === The objective of this research is to discuss with factors of junior high school students participate extracurricular math lesson and its influence on math learning. The purposes of specific research include understanding the current situation of students of junior high school learning math at school and after class as well as the views on math learning, and discussing the factors on extracurricular math learning for junior high school students and its satisfaction. In addition, will the students with different background differ from the view on math learning, the factors of math continuation class and its satisfaction? These issues are also mainly discussions. Finally, according to research discovery and result, it proposes concrete suggestions as reference for the relevant units.
To achieve the above-mentioned research purpose, this research adopts document analysis and investigation method of questionnaire. At first, it collects the relevant research and documents both domestic and abroad, states math teaching of junior high school and the current development of extracurricular learning, and analyzes theory aspects such as math teaching method of junior high school, character of students’ learning, and influence of math learning achievement etc. as the theoretical foundation of research and the frame of empirical study. Then, according to literatures, the relevant empirical study, and similar assessment from domestic and aboard, it develops into “The evaluation and discussion of research questionnaire on factors and influence of extracurricular math learning for junior high school students”. By collecting questionnaire samples from four county junior high schools in Longtan Township of Taoyuan County after applying the pretest and formal questionnaire, it utilizes statistical method for analysis on the data from the questionnaires. Finally, it bases on research result and discussion to classify into research discovery and conclusion and propose suggestions as the following statements:
Conclusions:
1. The highest percentage is no interest to math study for junior high students who have learning difficulties on math study at school. The rests are the students who don’t understand at class, the teaching way at school is too boring and the contents of textbook are too simple in sequence.
2.There are 50% of junior high school students participate extracurricular math lesson and the math continuation class in the highest proportion.
3. For the point of view on math study, junior high school students have the highest orientation in general, especially for “math learning attitude”.
4. The factors of math continuation class for juniors high school students intend to highly recognition, especially for “the ego of math ability improvement.”
5. For English continuation class, junior high school students have highly satisfaction and appraise, especially for highest satisfaction with “math learning achievement and performance”.
6. After learning English continuation class, students have positive influence on math learning attitude and achievement.
7. From the point of view on math learning, students have different variables, which appear difference each other because of background.
8. For factors on math continuation class, students have different variables, which appear difference each other because of background.
9. For satisfaction with math continuation class, pupils have different variables, which appear difference each other because of background.
10. For factors behind junior high school students’ math continuation class, the more highly orientation is, the better satisfaction with the continuation class has.
