A total of 495 college students as subjects, were asked to fill a set of instruments, including Perfectionism Scale for College Students, Low Frustration Tolerance Scale for College Students, and College Students- Life Inventory. The obtained data were analysized by using independent-samples t test, one-way ANOVA, repeated measures one-way ANOVA, canonical correlation, and stepwise multiple regression. The main findings of this study are: (1) Males had higher ratings than females on the “unsatisfied” subscale of perfectionism; yet, no grade difference was found in perfectionism. (2) Males had higher ratings than females on the “emotional intolerance” and “achievement frustration” subscales of low frustration tolerance; yet, no grade difference was found in low frustration tolerance. (3) No significant sex difference or grade difference was found on academic adjustment and on emotional adjustment. (4) Canonical correlation analysis was used to test possible path-correlations among perfectionism, frustration tolerance, and psychological adjustment. (5) The “self-appreciation,” “unsatisfied,” “high-standard,” “delay,” “discomfort intolerance,” and “high-order” were effective predictors toward college students’ academic adjustment. (6) The “unsatisfied,” “self-appreciation,” “over-concern,” “discomfort intolerance,” “delay,” and “high-order” were effective predictors toward college students’ emotional adjustment. 高淑芳 2010 學位論文 ; thesis 98 zh-TW
