To meet the nation’s needs in the armed force build-up and the war preparedness, the National Defense Ministry will gradually increase the percentage of voluntary soldiers recruitment, and thus decrease the needs of non-commissioned officers. The National Defense Ministry will call for good-quality youth to join the army so to meet each service’s professional needs. One of the key factors to achieve the goals is the planning of national defense human resource. The breakthrough revolution of the army service recruitment system has begun. According to the National Defense Human Resource data in 2006, vocational high school graduates comprised 80.54% of the total number of the voluntary soldiers. This indicated that vocational high school graduates are still the main source of voluntary soldiers. This study is the analysis of the military officers serving in the high schools and vocational high schools in Taipei in order to further understand the influence between their working attitude and their students’ motivation in serving the military. The study found that the relationship between the recruitment strategies and work commitment is significant. This study further discussed how different recruitment strategies and work attitude variable will impact students’ motivation on serving the military. This research adopts the investigation method of questionnaire and uses SPSS software, Logistic Regression, Chi-Square Test, Person’s Correlation and stepwise regression to analyze data.
