So it is of interest to design and synthesize new hydantoin derivatives, and discover new potent antitumoral agent, with anti-growth, anti-migration, anti-invasive properties against HeLa and PC-3 cells. In addition, compounds which strengthen cell-cell adhesion can potentially server as anti-metastasis agent. Our results suggested compounds bearing the alkyl group substituent at N-3 position of hydantoin, will not improve antitumor activities. On the other hand, compounds with double bond at C-3 position substituent, show significant improve in antitumor activities. Thus, C-3 position of hydantoin plays an important role in determining antitumor activities against HeLa and PC-3 cells. Our results also suggested compound C and E are the best antitumor agent.
