The purposes of this study were to explore and design a digital teaching program, to provoke students with creative performance, and to examine teaching effects from the outcomes of students’ learning and performance. Focused on digital image teaching with the topic of adolescent popular culture, this study was done via action research. The teacher prepared teaching programs through experiences of reflection, review of relevant research articles, and prior interviews before teaching. Through action research, the teacher as the researcher was able to develop creative teaching strategies and revise teaching programs. The adolescence participants were highly interested in digital image teaching activities which would inspire their creative thinking. They provided positive feedback. This research also found that these post-adolescence college students could evaluate the value and meaning of adolescent popular culture through metacognition. The analysis shows that mostly creative performances of adolescence come from living experiences. They have the ability to project their views of life and living to their artworks. After reflecting in teaching practice, three kinds of capabilities of professional growth were enhanced: the ability to develop a contemporary artistic teaching program with digital images, the ability to produce digital teaching materials, and the ability of using creative strategies. Finally, I hope the results and suggestions of this research would be some reference of creative thinking and digital image teaching for art teachers. 羅美蘭 2010 學位論文 ; thesis 0 zh-TW
