In this thesis, we first present the conceptual framework for dynamic platform, by adding the time factor, to explore what the relationships and changes between competencies, platform and the market dimensions. In order to explain the three dimensions of individual dynamic interaction between the situational activities, in this thesis, we propose three two-dimensional matrixes: Market-Platform matrix, Market-Competencies matrix and Platforms-Competencies matrix. In this way, companies can quickly set up in the appropriate scenario, select the action modes or platform strategies as well as the platform supporting strategies. Beside, we have adopted a dynamic perspective to analyze the activities of a platform strategy and the relationship between these activities, and then proposed research model of this thesis. We proposed three assumptions: platform competencies can affect platform activities, and platform activities affecting the performance, and estimates platform competencies also have a positive impact on performance. When a company has a clear understanding of the relationship between three dimensions, the platform will enable the company to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness, reduce product development costs, rapid introduction of new products, and create diverse products. Finally, we developed a structural equation model for platform strategy to describe the impact of the activities between the platform competencies, platform activities and performance. A deeper understanding of which the strategic fit among the company's platform competencies and platform activities.
