Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立東華大學 === 教育研究所 === 98 === The purpose of this study is to examine the current status of job stress and job burnout about the first-grade’s teachers of elementary schools in Hualian County . I compared the perceptive differences that background variable resulted in job stress and job burnout, and study the correlation between job stress and job burnout. Furthermore,I predict job burnout through the analysis of job stress. The study was carried out among the first-grade’s teachers in 104 elementary schools in Hualian County. In this study, I developed the questionnaire to assess the relationship between job stress and job burnout. of 162 questionnaires, 152 questionnaires were completed and returned. The return rate of completed questionnaires was 93.8%. However, 148 of 152 questionnaires completed were usable and the rate of usable questionnaires was 97.4%. The data has been compiled in a database using the SPSS for Windows 12.0 software program. The statistical methods used were one-way ANOVA, t-test, Pearson cross-product correlation and stepwise multiple regression. The findings of this study are as follows: 1. The level of perception of job stress of first-grade’s teachers is moderate but toward low , whereas another variable, Student question, gets higher score. 2. As a whole, personal background is not the main variable causing job stress. 3. The level of perception of job burnout of first-grade’s teachers is moderate but toward low, whereas another variable, body and mind exhaustion, gets higher score. 4. There were significant differences in the stress of first-grade’s teachers in different background variables from job burnout. 5. There is a positive correlation between job stress and job burnout. 6. It is obvious that job burnout can be predicted through job stress. The higher job stress has, the more job burnout gets. Based on the results of this research, I propose some suggestions for authorities of educational administration, schools and research in the future.
