Summary:碩士 === 國立東華大學 === 教育研究所 === 98 === In this study, narrative inquiry was used to explore an memory of the researcher teaching in aboriginal elementary school. This study, represented by statement, has two main axes: one is workplace, the other is culture. In workplace, the researcher worked as, subject teacher, and director. In the different positions, the researcher will have different views of point to school and students. Being a rookie teacher, the research could not understand that the education system is overly-structured and inflexible. The administrators did not know the teaching situation; being a rookie teacher , the researcher put efforts in students learning but perceived the efforts were useless due to students performance; being subject teacher, the research's perception of learning needs of students has changed, turning from knowledge instruction to experience of affection, involved in teaching. Being director of academic affairs, the research viewed how the school operated. He not only faced the dilemma in every aspect of consideration but began to understand the conflicts between the various evaluation of school administration and the need of teacher in teaching situation. In culture, the researcher touched the different aboriginal culture which enormously differed from himself and began to experience the beauty of aboriginal. But facing foreign culture invading, whether the language or culture were disappearing, the aboriginal people tried to keep the root of culture. Although they knew its uneasy to do, they were holding traditional aboriginal activities, supporting.
