The characteristics of 3C products include state-of-art technology applications, shorter and shorter product life cycles, more and more variety, higher and higher quality requirements, etc. All of these characteristics have lead today’s 3C manufacturers to engage their production strategy into a make-to-order fashion. Under a rather severe competitive business environment worldwide, the most important issue for any 3C manufacturing firms is to make their limited and expensive resources coincide with market demand. In order to develop a methodology to utilize resources efficiently and effectively, this thesis has studied a man-machine resource problem in one of the leading magnesium molding companies in Taiwan. The framework of the study contains two steps. Based on the survey and interviews of the company, this research first analyzes and determines a mapping of various skilled workers and different functional workstations in the production processes of the shop floor in the company. Under the premise of meeting the monthly required utilization, a balance between the manpower and the workstations is reached. Second, by employing the manpower and workstation balance, this research has developed an Aggregate Production Planning model to match the monthly orders of the company between 2007 and 2009. The Aggregate Production Planning model is studied and examined under four sets of manpower policies. The results and comparisons of the four policies are given for the years of 2007 to 2009. Finally, some conclusions are extracted to advise the company toward her future manpower design. YU-WUN HUANG 黃郁文 2010 學位論文 ; thesis 106 zh-TW
