碩士 === 國立嘉義大學 === 視覺藝術研究所 === 98 === Surrounded by contemporary life styles of Taiwanese, works illustrated by Mr. Der-Rong Huang gave hints of seeking codes and messages of social phenomenon in Taiwan, e.g. stiff and rigid face expression of high school students because of entrance exam pressure, pornographic culture of Betel beauties on streets, fears on the face of lower level of social workers due to economic pressure and job uncertainties. Time changes move nerves of life rhythm in Taiwan significantly. Whether localization is either a reconfirmation of self value for Taiwanese people or miss and worry of Taiwan’s global positioning act as substances for painting works illustrated bf Taiwany Mr. Huang in terms of emotional sensitivities and modest manners curved on characters. This study focuses on illustration of diversified life styles of peoples via painting works, aiming at a. seeking theoretical basis from relevant social realistic studies, b. adding popular elements in painting works and searching for links between culture and feeling of Taiwanese people, and c. investigating body language and feeling transmission of painting characters and surveying how overall phenomenon of Taiwan portrays via realistic characters in art works. Research approaches in this study adopted include 1. theoretical analysis approach, 2. action research approach, and 3. creative quality consideration approach. Structure of this study is portrayed as follows. Chapter 1 elaborates study motivation and purposes, together with research methods and limits. Chapter 2 portrays relevant theories while carrying out analyses based upon chronic painting movements and typical painters. Chapter 3 surveys work implementation content, methods, and language of creation forms. Chapter 4 illustrates detailed description and content of the created works of this study and the corresponding concept and ideas. Chapter 5 summarizes studied results and gives a conclusion for further progresses. Creation of figure paintings in this study is elaborated in the following three main themes, namely naïve childhood, sensitivity v.s. emotionality, and time tracks, intending to investigate the interaction between fashion cultures and designate figures via prospective Taiwanese lifestyles. Vivid individual painting creation characteristics were portrayed in terms of a wide variety of painting works with local unique identities.
