This study is to understand the status of achievement motivation and workaholism, to explore the influence variables, and to realize the influence of achievement motivation on workaholism. The research instrument of this study is a questionnaire which to scale the achievement motivation and workaholism of the elementary school teachers developed by the researcher. Out of 620 questionnaires send to the elementary school teachers in Yunlin County, Taipei County and Taipei City, 476 responded. The data were analyzed in the statistics methods of descriptive statistics, factor analysis, Pearson correlation and stepwise multiple regression. Conclusions in the research are as follows: 1.As a whole, the achievement motivation of the elementary school teachers is at the degree of medium to high above the average. 2.As a whole, the workaholism of the elementary school teachers is at the degree of medium. 3.Significant correlation between teachers’ achievement motivation and workaholism. 4.Among background variables, there is significant influence on size of schools toward achievement motivation. 5.Among background variables, there is significant influence on marriage status and position toward workaholism. 6.The achievement motivation of the elementary school teachers shows influence on the workaholism, the higher degree of achievement motivation will result in higher degree of workaholism. According to all results of the investigation, the suggestions are provided for elementary school teachers and correlate studies in the future to be the reference material.
