Furthermore, the study also compares the differences of positive emotion, IPSA and school life adjustment by the background variables, such as gender, grade and family structure. In empirical study, the valid samples consisted of 331 students, including the 7th, 8th, and 9th grade of junior high schools in Tainan City and County. This study used the method of questionnaire survey to collect data. The research instrument included “Positive Emotion Questionnaire of Junior High School Students”, adapted by the researcher, “ Interpersonal Problem Solving Attitudes Questionnaire”, adapted by Shiu, Ruei - Lan, and “School Life Adjustment Questionnaire”, adapted by Chen, Yan- Ru. All the data were analyzed by descriptive statistic, t -test, Pearson’s product-moment correlation, one-way ANOVA and stepwise multiple regression. The main results of the study are as follows: 1. The current levels of the positive emotion, interpersonal problem solving attitudes, and school life adjustment of junior high school students are in good conditions. 2. There’s a significant difference on school life adjustment between junior high school students of different gender. The girl has better performance than the boy. 3. There’s no significant difference on school life adjustment between junior high school students of different grade. 4. There’s no significant difference on school life adjustment between junior high school students of family structure. 5. There’re significant middle positive correlations between positive emotion and school life adjustment of junior high school students. 6. There’re significant middle positive correlations between interpersonal problem solving attitudes and school life adjustment of junior high school students. 7. Positive emotion and interpersonal problem solving attitudes could significantly predict the school life adjustment, which accounted for 49.4% of variances of school life adjustment. Finally, based on these research results, some recommendations will be provided for the educational members of junior high school, school guidance and further research.
