This thesis is a research on Suite Paysanne Hongroise by Béla Bartók. The first chapter, also known as introduction, provides research motivation, research purpose, literature review, research scope and methods. A short biography of Bartók and the background of his compositions are provided in the second chapter. The third chapter emphasizes on Bartók’s Suite Paysanne Hongrois, and those he applied in this work such as rhythm, meter, scale, mode, dynamic and tempo etc. The fourth chapter is the performing interpretation of this piece, which can be used as a reference for flutists. The fifth chapter is a reconstruction Ballade of Suite Paysanne Hongrois, which was omitted in the trascribtion of Paul Arma. A conclusion is the sixth chapter.
