碩士 === 國立彰化師範大學 === 環境暨觀光遊憩研究所 === 98 === In the Globalization age, competition of economic development has been transferred from national level to urban level. In addition, plenty of products are getting more interdependent between cities. It means cities need to enhance their competitiveness and complementary ability nowadays. Changhua County will face following challenges:(1) Central Taiwan Science Park has extended to Changhua County (2) Establishment of the central MRT network (3) New merged Taichung metropolitan area. We should figure out special advantages and potential for Changhua County regional industry clusters. After that, it will help us to improve regional economic growth by attracting foreign investment and job opportunities. According to second-hand material, this study went on analyzing current regional industry environment for Taichung county、Taichung City and Nantou County. After in-depth interviews with five industry experts、six government officials and three academic professors, this thesis explored the competition advantages in Changhua County and co-opetition relationship between adjacent counties. The purpose of this research is going to define future goals for Changhua region industry. We found that, the biochemical technology and the tourism have unlimited potential in Changhua Country. The main industry of Changhua Country is agriculture. In Changhua Country, the agriculture and the bicycle industry possess sustainable competitive advantages. The sustainable competitive advantage is that combine the three regions, Taichung Country, Taichung City and Nantou County, developing the tourism.
