碩士 === 國立彰化師範大學 === 機電工程學系 === 98 === Abstract As the rapid change of the manpower demand of society and industry, globalization is creating a highly competitive environment at an unprecedented pace overwhelmingly. University graduates have to face the challenge and fast change in industry so the objective of education and the core competency of students shall be reviewed and adjusted in order to ensure students qualified for future work. The goal of education is to establish the base of development for professionals. The department of mechatronics engineering (ME) at National Changhua University of Education (NCUE) is devoted to reach the goal according to the objective of education and the eight core abilities defined by the international standard, IEET-AC2010. To get more understanding of students’ competency developed and how much they meet the requirement of industry after graduation, this thesis will focus on the assessment and analysis of the core abilities of alumni of ME Department, NCUE. Based on IEET-AC2010, which is the theoretical basis of this study, three kinds of questionnaires regarding the effectiveness of student’s core competency in the ME department, NCUE, have been obtained; they are: “the questionnaire of the effectiveness of student’s core competency in the ME department, NCUE__95 ~ 97 undergraduate and master's program graduates”, “the questionnaire of the effectiveness of student’s core competency in the ME department, NCUE __ industry and employer”. By the use of questionnaires as research tools and graduation alumni and employers as the objects of survey, the conclusions then can be obtained by statistical analysis. The result indicates that student’s core competency being set by the ME department, NCUE, satisfies the needs for the graduates who want to pursue higher education or look for employment. Meanwhile, it also satisfies the necessary abilities that are required by employers. Additionally, ME department students’ core competencies are also in line with the IEETs’ eight core abilities’ needs. Other words, the graduates possess the core competencies of IEET-AC2010.
