The first one is to explore the economy inactive life experiences and context of young men who have college educational background, quitted their jobs voluntarily and were not in education, employment and any career training programs for at least six months after graduated from university. The other purpose is to know after getting in to an economy inactivity period, were there any changes on these young men’s self-identity, interpersonal relationship , and family relationships. The phenomenological method and semi-structured interview is used in this study. Four young men have participated and have been interviewed for three or four times. The data is analyzed with ecological system theory and thematic analysis procedure. Results of present study show that: 1. the economy inactive life experiences and context of these young men: (1) Most of them are middle or high socio-economic background and (2) were outstanding at school , had multi-specialty or trans-class work experiences before economy inactive period. (3) Most of them had high socio-economic life experiences or multicultural work experiences before economy inactive period. (4) They quitted their job voluntarily because of the prospects of the job didn’t fit their expectation. (5)All of them regarded economy inactivity as a temporary career choice. (6) During the economy inactive period, they spend most of time on self-satisfied activities, and sometimes on activities which family expect . (7) The reason of their finishing the economy inactive period differed according their career interest. (8)In conclusion, class-changed oritation activities do not necessarily exist during the economy inactive period. 2. The changes of young men’s self-identity, international relationship, and family relationships after experiencing economy inactive period are (1) not only increasing self-doubts but also positive career confidence at the same time.(2) Economic inactivity stituation almost didn’t impact on the relationships of friends but did impact on love relationships. (3) After the participants entering economy inactive period, their family members showed the intention to involve in personal life than before. Even young men finished economy inactive period and returned to labor market, family members have not necessarily stopped the intervention. On the other hand, most family support pattern almost didn’t change, and mother is the main financial supporter for most participants. In the discussion session, future works for studies, counseling, parents’ support patterns, youth employment policies, and education suggestions are proposed. 郭麗安 2010 學位論文 ; thesis 311 zh-TW
