Until now, most of saw blade in Taiwan are imported from Europe and Japan with extremely high cost. The situation virtually influences the competitive ability of exporting woodworking machinery. Therefore, the market demand of automatic saw blade sharpener is extremely high for the purpose of decreasing processing cost and reducing the waste of unrecyclable metals in producing saw blade. It was responded by customers that iron chippings, miscellaneous articles or objects are easy to be attached on the detecting board of traditional infrared ray inductor. However, electric control system has no response signal to detect the problem. This causes the situation of unsharpened saws. The study applies logical process control to design and control server unit drive for exact positioning. It increases the precision and reaches 10 times accuracy compared to traditional infrared ray inductor. While the blade cutting pace is double increased, the competitive advantages of woodworking industry is also increased.
