Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立彰化師範大學 === 電信工程研究所 === 98 === In the first part of this thesis, we propose a new frequency shift keying (FSK) demodulator, called a low intermediate frequency crossing duration demodulator (LIFCDD), for wireless communications around human body. The bit error rate (BER) performance of this coherent demodulator is examined in the presence of additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN) and dedicated human body fading channels. It is shown that the BER performance is within 2 dB of the optimal correlation receiver in human body fading channels with modulation index larger than 1. In the second part of the thesis, we propose a power and rate adaptation algorithm for two coexisting T-R (transmit-receive) pairs to accommodate acceptable SIRs for both T-R pairs using the rate-distance nature. From the system sum-rate perspective, this algorithm may further enhance spectrum utilization. Our numerical examples also demonstrate significantly more efficient transmission than conventional cognitive radios.
