Taiwan located on the southeast Asia, a HCC high risk area, and there are many people died from HCC each year. As a result, it is necessary to find out a powerful prognostic factor to help doctors to predict the outcome of HCC patients. Serum HBV DNA level has been proved that it can be used as a predict marker for the development of HCC, but rare evidence shows that it could be a prognostic marker of HCC. AIM: To assess the value of using plasma HBV DNA level as prognostic maker on HCC patients after resection. Materials & methods: 124 HCC patients who received resection surgery were included into this program. During the day of operation, 10 mL peripheral blood was collect for DNA extraction. HBV DNA level was detected by SYBR Green I realtime PCR. Hazard ratio of HBV DNA and other characteristics were calculated by cox regression, disease free survival rate were calculated by Kaplan-Meier analysis. Conclusion: Whether in all the 124 patients or in the 57 HBV DNA positive patients group, tumor number and vascular invasion could be prognostic markers, but HBV DNA level can’t, except in the 124 patient group, HBV DNA level combined with tumor number, can be a more valuable marker for prognosis. Owing to the low positive rate, HBV DNA level might not be a good prognostic marker for HCC patients. Key words: HCC、HBV DNA、prognostic factor、SYBR Green I realtime PCR 簡一治 2010 學位論文 ; thesis 61 zh-TW
