Summary: | 碩士 === 國立中央大學 === 管理學院高階主管企管碩士班 === 98 === Facing the complication of modern business in recent years, the most of successful organizations rely on a good climate between management and subordinates . However, it cannot avoid political behavior in any organizationl. We may be able to control or manage the political behavior if we realize what it happens under what kind of situations.
This exploration focuses on trying to find how leadership styles and personality traits influence political behavior in organizations; and tries to provide useful methods to an executive or management level for improving the organizational performance. As the result of the statistical analysis being conducted, herewith conclusions were found as followings:
1. Political behavior is apparently influenced by transactional leadership styles.
2. Political behavior is not obviously influenced by transformational leadership styles. This result may cause further study to take overall political behavior as one item, not to separate from each sector of individually political behavior analysis.
3. Political behavior may be influenced by persons whose personality traits tend to internal locus of control, and not influenced by the one to external locus of control.
Consequently, the recommendations for the managerial level to manage or control political behavior will indicate as below:
1. To make more functional plans in HR activities to conform to employee’s differences, such as education, gender, seniority and so on.
2. Though cooking employee’s job performance in efforts, the management still need take more caring and encouraging employee in job skill issues and expectations of molarity.
