Participants were 172 division I high school basketball players (87 males, 85 females). The average age was 16.98±0.92 years old. The major findings were as follows: (1) There were significant differences on coach-athlete relationship, team cohesion, and team satisfaction among different background variables. (2) Both direct and meta perspectives of coach-athlete relationships had positive correlations with team cohesion and satisfaction. (3) The coach-athlete relationship predicted team cohesion and satisfaction effectively. Specifically. “Commitment” was the stronger predictor in term of predicting task cohesion and social cohesion. Complementarity was the stronger predictor in terms of predicting satisfaction. (4) The assumed similarity of co-orientation of coach-athlete relationship significantly predicted social cohesion (17% of total explained variance), task cohesion (24% of total explained variance), and satisfaction (54% of total explained variance). Implications, applications, and future directions of this study are also discussed. Li-Kang Chi 季力康 2010 學位論文 ; thesis 0 zh-TW
