A new-series of pyridine-containing ligands from cyanuric chloride derivatives was developed. 2N-DPyP ligand and 3,3`,4,4`-diphenyl sulfone tetracarboxylic dianhydride(SODA) carboxylate ligand were employed in the present investigation. The synthetic method, the structures of the products were examined. The first part reports on the preparation of new pyridine-containing organic ligands and the reactions of these ligands with copper ions. Three compounds [Cu3(HDBA-2AMP)Cl6] (1)、[Cu4Br6(HDBA-2AMP)2(DBA-2AMP)(OH)3(C2H5OH)]n (2) and [Cu2 (DBA-2AMP)2 (Cu+)4(OH)4I4] (3) were obtained.The synthetic method, the structures of the products were studied. The second part of this thesis describes the self-assembly of 2N-DPyP and SODA ligands with metal ions. Four compounds [Cd2(SODT)(H2O)4.(2N-DPyP)(H2O)0.5]n (4)、{[Ni2(SODT)(2N-DPyP)(H2O)3] (H2O)2}n (5)、{[Co2(SODT)(2N-DPyP)(H2O)3] (H2O)2}n (6)及{[Zn2(SODT)(2N-DPyP)(H2O)3] (H2O)2}n (7) were produced. In this thesis, the synthetic strategies、structural characterization、thermal stability and properties of the obtained coordination polymers were examined. Structural variation, in particular, the conformations of the flexible piperazine group and their properties make these metal–organic frameworks interesting supramolecular entities.
