Qualitative methods involving semi-structured interviews with four participants were employed in this study. The result was analyzed by the constant comparison method. The findings of the study are as follows. 1. There were different changes and themes of life experience of the senior counselors. They had developed plural self-care experiences in these changes. 2. The action of self-care began with being aware of the value of self-care. The self- care strategies of the senior counselors included practicing speciality that they had engaged in, tending the health, caring for emotion, arranging for recreation and amusement, spirituality support, nurturing relationships, activeness of cognition, creating a supportive environment and keeping self-awareness. 3. The process of self-care promoting wellness of the senior counselors included that self-care adjustig the out-of-balance life, self-care bringing the happiness, self-care maintaining the wellness, and the wellness achieving self-value and keeping the clinical work continuously. Suggestions for counselors, counselor education and future research were offered.
