| Summary: | 碩士 === 國立暨南國際大學 === 成人與繼續教育研究所 === 98 === This paper intends to explore the experiential process of the new farmers with three research goals. First, this paper intends to understand the new farmers’ motivation and process in new agriculture. Next, this study explores the new farmers’ dilemmas, and explores how they deal with a dilemma in new agriculture. Flowing, it analyzes the inspirations after they participate in the new agriculture. Lastly, a concrete suggestion is made for new farmers engaging in new agriculture. The research method of the paper is based on qualitative research of the purposive sampling of semi-structured interviews, and seven respondents were selected and interviewed.
Concluding remarks are drawn from the literature review and the analysis of the interviewees’ data as the following:
1. The reason that the new farmers engaging in new agriculture mainly focus on personality characteristics, flexible working hours and a wage increase, assisting their parents, enjoy of the countryside, and kindly feelings to help framers.
2. The process of the new farmers engaging in new agriculture go through concrete experience, reflective observation, abstract conceptualization and active experimentation.
3. Difficult situation when the new farmers engaging in new agriculture are simple agriculture production, weather has powerful influence on agriculture, industrialized agriculture, simple agriculture business and stable income.
4. The coping strategies of the problem when the new farmers engaging in new agriculture are formation of food supply chain, information intensive precision production, diversity and differentiated products sell, ecological agriculture, getting much money and sustainable agriculture .
5. The new farmers engaging in new agriculture have a great impact on the different way to operate agriculture, knowing more about the agriculture, finding something to change in Taiwan agriculture.
This study according to the result of research it concludes some suggestions on the aspect of the new farmers, government authority and following researchers.
