Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立成功大學 === 建築學系碩博士班 === 98 === In a lot of buildings space, because circuit and air conditioning demand, raised floor system were adopted. But by collating seismic reports, we learn that even in medium or small-scale earthquakes, while no damage to building structure body, the equipment on raised floor may suffer damage or overturning, causing great economical losses. Therefore, it is an important subject, to improve the earthquake behavior of the raised floor. This study proposes a Guideway Isolated Raised Floor design to improve earthquake behavior, to guarantee equipment security. According to the result of shaking table tests and computer simulation, this research has following conclusions: 1. For both the linear or nonlinear isolated system, Guideway Isolated Raised Floor proved to possess high-efficiency and has improved earthquake behavior. The isolation efficiency improves as the isolator design period increases. 2. For a raised floor system, its horizontal and vertical natural frequency may resonant with seismic waves. Therefore, the natural frequencies of the raised floor need to be considered even on an isolated base to have a best overall performance. 3. The overall system performance may be influenced by the rocking behavior of the equipment on the raised floor. It is suggested to have some kind of fixity between the equipment and the raised floor if rocking is possible.
