Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立成功大學 === 化學系碩博士班 === 98 === The performance of ethanol electro-oxidation on Pd thin film as a catalyst layer in direct ethanol fuel cell (DEFC) can be promoted by co-electrodeposition of Pd-Ni alloy thin film. In this study, we investigated the effect of Pd and Ni composition on ethanol electro-oxidation through the modulation of different parameters of electrodeposition such as potential and column. In this study we extraly use complexes, potassium thiocyanate (KSCN) and triethanolamine (TEA) to improve the defects of Pd-Ni alloy thin films produced without complex and advanecdly to promote the maximum performance of ethanol electro-oxidation. In this study, we found that high Pd amount composition of the Pd-Ni film with TEA, which has the best function of complexity, owns the best maximum current density of Jp = 126.5 mA/cm2 on ethanol electro-oxidation. Meanwhile, the films produced with complex TEA promote the performance of ethanol electro-oxidation even when composition of Pd is less than 80%.
