Summary:碩士 === 國立成功大學 === 化學系碩博士班 === 98 === We have synthesized two series of imidazole compounds, that added benzilic halide to form ligands containing non-conjugated substituents. These compounds undergo cyclometalation with iridium trichloride to form iridium (III) complexes which exhibit strong phosphorescence. These two series of imidazole compounds combined with iridium trichloride to form two types of iridium complexes, neutral-type and ion-type. We changed substituents on the benzilic hailide to investigate the photophysical effect of non-conjugated electron-donating and electron-withdrawing groups. In neutral-type(acac-type), iridium trichloride undergo cyclometalation with imidazole and acac to form six-coordinated complexes [Ir(?2-C^N)2acac]. According to different C^N ligands, we synthesized ten kinds of metal complexes, Ba, 2Fa, 3Fa, 4Fa, 2Cla, 3Cla, 4Cla, 3omea, pFa, Ha. The emission wavelengths range from 507nm to 517nm and quantum yields range from 0.38 to 0.54 in CH2Cl2 solution. The solid state emission wavelengths range from 542 nm to 551nm. In ion-type(L-type), iridium trichloride undergo cyclomatalation with ppy and imidazole compounds to form six-coordinated complexes[Ir(?2-ppy)2L2]NO3. According to different L, L’ ligands, we synthesized eight kinds of metal complexes, BL, 2FL, 3FL, 4FL, 4ClL, 3omeL, pFL, HL. The emission wavelengths range from 484nm to 488nm and quantum yields range from 0.30 to 0.37.The solid state emission wavelengths range from 518nm to 522nm. All compounds have been characterized by Mass, IR, NMR spectroscopy. Compounds 4Fa, 2Cla, 3Cla, 4Cla, 4ClL, BL, HL have been further collecting the respective X-ray diffraction data and solved for the solid state structure.
