When a project team responds to customer requests or they cannot achieve the goals set this can lead to a series of knock-on effects, which may have direct impacts on cost, production schedule and quality. Consequently, we need a good management mechanism to maintain the performance of project when such changes occur. The literature review indicates that knowledge sharing can help maintain competitive advantage in a project team, and help to promote the abilities of coordination and problem solving. On the other hand, it will cause reductions in productivity and increases in product failure or project delay if the knowledge cannot be shared efficiently among all organization members. Therefore, knowledge sharing not only influences communication for operating projects and coordination, but also the trust among organizational members. Therefore, this research investigates how knowledge sharing influences the teams’ performance when the context and scope of the projects changes. This study also looks into both the cause and effect relationships, and suggests practical and beneficial policies as basis of project modification for managers. This research utilizes System Dynamics (SD) approach, and performs in-depth interviews with project teams to collect research data. It then builds a research model to describe the causes, effects and relationships in the project process of system motivation and the knowledge sharing. The conclusion demonstrates the results of system simulation to observe the systematic behavior changing. This study concludes that an appropriate knowledge sharing mechanism can raise productivity and problem solving ability, and reduce project’s error rate when the changes occur. Moreover, the study suggests practical knowledge sharing policies by analyzing the simulation of the programs. These specific policies include apprenticeship, community of practice, efficiency document management and project team to promote the interaction of project teams or community. The most important purpose of this article is to address several knowledge sharing strategies for project teams to maintain the performance and present the outcomes on schedule, even critical changes happen on both the scope and context of projects.
