Summary: | 碩士 === 國立成功大學 === 工業設計學系碩博士班 === 98 === As the birth rates in Taiwan continue to decline, parents will pay more attention to the coming generation of children and thinking about how to educate them. Many small children spend much time watching television, playing electronic games or using the internet, and less time reading. Pop-up books provide wonderful reading experience with its’ interesting interaction and vivid content, becoming an essential teaching material for preschool children. Pop-up books not only can promote children’s esthetic, but also enhanced their creativity and imagination. Pop-up books are keys to get children back to reading and enjoy then, may provide a possible solution to children’s growing neglect towards books.
This study will use Interview and Observation Method to observe the interaction between children and pop-up book. And use the Quantification Ι Analysis to find out the relation between Eye-Catching Features and Preference. The findings are as follow: Sphere (sample 5) has highest eye-catching score and highest preference score: Children’s preference is influence by 5 aspect of the pop-up book. 1. pop-up motion, 2. higher complexity, 3.lower height, 4.round shape, 5. The number of feature is distributed.
