Summary: | 碩士 === 國立中興大學 === 高階經理人碩士在職專班 === 98 === This thesis is to introduce a framework to find and develop core competences. A case study will be presented in this thesis by analyzing and implementing the framework. The framework will focus on information system development to reinforce the core competences and maintain sustainable competing advantages.
After studying the historical construction and analyzing the future-needed core competences of the case using CBM (Component Business Model) framework, there are three conclusions in this thesis as follows: First, the CBM framework can be used to find and analyze the core competences needed currently and in the future. CBM provides an overview of business activities. Managers can easily identify the needed core competences via the overview. CBM helps managers to understand the activities of the industry and company. It also helps managers to analyze the gap of ability between now and future to have a construction plan for the sustainable core competence.
Second, if business activities belong to the core competence, the demand of information system to accomplish business activities will be greater. It is common to have information systems to accomplish business activities. The more integrated core competences a company has, the more information systems with complexity and generality are required.
Third, the compound of CBM analysis and information system development can reinforce the construction of core competence. By analyzing the construction of core competences of the case in this thesis, it is true that the effectiveness of core competences can be reinforced when the information system development is combined with the construction plan of core competences.
