Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立中興大學 === 資訊科學與工程學系所 === 98 === In order to provide high bandwidth service, Internet Service Provider (ISP) often aggregates multiple physical links into one logical link. In the parallel physical links environment, source traffic must be evenly dynamically distributed according to the ratio of each physical link, moreover, the problem of packet dropping or reordering while packets arriving destination should be ensured that it would not occur. This mechanism is internet traffic load balancing. FLARE dynamic load balancing algorithm splits the traffic into flowlet units and adjusts with time delay property, which might not suit all internet situations when simply used. The performance was improved in this study that FLARE algorithm distributed traffic unevenly when the large flow was appearing. We brought up three different adjustment mechanisms to achieve load balance on purpose. Consequently, the traffic can be distributed more evenly anytime by means of these three methods. Furthermore, the packet drop numbers can be reduced and the packet reordering proportion can be slightly increased, to optimize internet load balancing.
