碩士 === 國立中興大學 === 統計學研究所 === 98 === This thesis investigates reliability and sensitivity analysis of a repairable system with imperfect coverage and service pressure coefficient. Failure times and repair times of failed units are assumed to be exponentially distributed. As a unit fails, it maybe immediately detected, located and replaced with a coverage probability c by a standby if one is available. When the repairmen are under the pressure of a long queue, the repairmen may increase the repair rate to reduce the queue length. The system failure is defined as: (i) the system fails, when all M+S units fail and (ii) the system fails, when at least one of the active units fails. We derive the explicit expressions for the reliability function and the mean time to failure (MTTF). Various cases are analyzed graphically to study the effects of different parameters on the system reliability and the MTTF. We also accomplish a sensitivity analysis for the reliability characteristics along with changes in specific values of the system parameters.
