Because the measurement of BOD, COD, and SS concentrations must employ analytic instruments, these analytic procedures are time-consuming practices. Thus, if the sample can be rapidly detected by transparency method, not only the analytic time but also the analytic chemicals, such as solvents and acidic solution, can be saved. This study employed the analytic results of the COD, BOD, SS analysis and transparency measures of COD, BOD and SS water samples to establish their relationships.
