Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立中興大學 === 水土保持學系所 === 98 === The purpose of this study aims at applying purification of traveler’s trees to modify the air quality of tne surrounding environment. The swine production is important either in production sector or in comsumption sector. However, the open style production of it causes the waste water problem and poor air quality. It obviously influences the residential environment esp.after the legislation of changing the farm land into the building land. We must identify functional threshold and rules of operation for any choiced species. This study, therefore, selects the tree which is easily planted, evergreen and of beautiful shapes planted in the pot and moved into ventilated boxes located at the following three sites:within farm,2m away from and 100m away from farm,to calibrate the function of odor absorption. The result showed that no trace of CO,H2SandC5H12.The concentration of O2 is unchanged;and CO2 and CH4 had a significant reduction. There is 33% reduction effect for CO2 in the case of 1 traveler,s tree in this study. So ,the effect can be enlarged if the number of plants increases as it’s needed.Such kind of approaches to save the effort of human being and machine should save cost without the use of fossil energy. The CH4 concentration is reduced and approximately close to the background value in the atmosphere by the absorption of traveler’s trees. These statements above lead to a conclusion that both reduction of CO2 and CH4 are extremely significant.
