It have made up the prosperity of a government official''s family in “The young heroes and heroines’s story”, but the illustration to the ordinary daily life is abundant and plural. We can find out some life culture and habits of Qing Dynasty from it. When describing the personages'' dress, the author writes in a simple or complex style. Regarding the complex style, the writing technique is concrete and exquisite; as to the simple style, it slightly refers to just outward dressing. From the observation of the dress in the novel, it not only reflects difference of Chinese dress in the middle and late periods of Qing Dynasty, but also reproduces the class identity, custom culture, political norm, social reality, characteristic of Qing Dynasty, and even spiritual value at that time. The costume appearing in the “The young heroes and heroines’s story” is a feast for the eyes, and through the analysis of the costume, discussion of the related culture and different sex, the costume can be divided into head accessories, the clothes, foot clothing and the decorations, which is subdivide various types of hairdoes, cap type, ornament, different kinds of clothes, socks, boots, shoes, and various kinds of wearing decorations, and then properly analyzing them from material, season, color and collocation.We plan to dig out its historical tradition and innovation from the detail of the costume, in order to understand the true directions of the people''s life at that time and make a conclusion of surface collocation and deep meaning. We also propose few ponits to the paradox in the plot about the costume and discordance in that background, in the hope of clarifying the costume culture, characteristic of the Manzu and Hanzu’s costume and its deep intension.
