However, it is hard to integrate and employ vector maps with different systems and data format. Therefore, this study attempts to establish a database basis for exclusive Vector Smart Map(VMaps) of Taiwan. The methology is to improve mapping process by integrating map database planning mapping schedule, assessing the efficiency of mapping with As-Is-To-Be analysis. In order to evaluate the performance, two popular mapping method, PLTS and FME, were compared to produce military terrains map with 1:50000 scale. The results show that FME with ten-person and ten-print mode is the optimal strategy. It can reduce working time with 37% improvement and cut down the cost with 22.5% improvement comparing to PLTS method. This study found that in order to improve the process of smart map, it is nedessaary to establish a correct and adjustable table of VMap with is core technology. 高書屏 2010 學位論文 ; thesis 84 zh-TW
