| Summary: | 碩士 === 明志科技大學 === 電機工程研究所 === 99 === IEEE 802.16 is a new standard for communications since 1999. It’s the major technology in Taiwan for the 4th mobile communication. There were six companies to get licenses from government of Taiwan in 2007. More and more people join the construction of equipments about IEEE 802.16. The advantages of IEEE 802.16 are high transmission performance and cover area larger than other wireless communication technologies. It’s also a good solution for “the last mile” because it can eliminate trouble of wiring. In this paper, we have studied about IEEE 802.16 and established simulating platform for IEEE 802.16 PHY Layer by MATLAB/Simulink. We hope this paper may help someone who need basic knowledge of IEEE 802.16.
