Therefore, the application of distance teaching is becoming more and more important for the learners. When it comes to education, the e-learning system has been widely promoted and applied to the schools for teaching support purposes. So far, various system platforms and material making tools have been developed and widely used in either simultaneous or non-simultaneous long-distance learning. In this study, an easy and comprehensible teaching system was developed for the students in vocational colleges in Taiwan. It is an assistant teaching system for microcomputer courses, and this teaching platform can serve as the introductory tools for the students. Moreover, through the process of the single-step operations of the program, students can better understand the whole framework of the programming as well as its experimental principles and the operating process. This not only helps the students establish the basis to design an embedded system program but also enables them to learn better when it comes to programming languages. Free software, OpenOCD and Moodle, was adopted in this study, and collocated with JTAG kit, a tool with Web-based the functions of downloading, burning and online debugging and so on was made possible. As thus, this can make the teaching platform more convenient for remote laboratory and more complete when functioning so as to better fulfill the purpose of teaching activities. In addition, this platform also adopts Apache Web Server to set up a remote teaching platform of ARM 7, and this makes learning of Embedded System without the limitation of devices, time, and space.
