The grinding process used in the finishing step in the process making gear is an important process. The result will affect the precision of a machine a lot. In order to fulfill the process, making a good grinding wheel is also important during the manufacturing process. There are different ways to make the grinding wheel. This work provides an interface based on rapid dressing technology for manufacturing grinding wheel with CNC machine. Using CNC technology, gear processing machine tools further improve the efficiency and precision of making production, but the basic processing principle has not been changed. Grinding CNC machine is used for the processing of complex surface of gears. The surface of gear tooth is a special class of complex surfaces. Therefore, using the grinding CNC machine in the settlement process on the surface has special advantages. Users use many kinds of software, which support for CNC machine. One of them is to create the data profile for grinding CNC machine to grind the grinding wheel. With this software, they make the grinding wheel easily. Another way is using new technology called rapid dressing for the process of grinding wheel. It can save time and will last for serve long life for dressing. When the grinding CNC machine using new technology, it needs an interface to generate and control the grinding process for grinding wheel. With the interface, user only inputs the data for the parameters of a grinding wheel and selects the input data profile. The interface can help users to create a CNC code for controlling the CNC machine. The CNC machine then will make the grinding wheel in shape accordingly. The interface is coded in Visual Basic Studio.NET and uses TeeChart for drawing the profile of the grinding wheel.
