| Summary: | 碩士 === 明新科技大學 === 產業研發碩士專班 === 99 === This paper basis current market demand proposed a wireless AP router which is a network device that integrated the three kinds of network devices together. They are Switch, Access Point and Router. For support the functions of these three network devices, the wireless AP router need to implement three different network interfaces into the hardware. The interfaces are Ethernet Local Area Network (LAN) interface, Ethernet Wide Area Network (WAN) interface and Wireless interface. The LAN interface will provide an Ethernet port for connecting to the local area network. The WAN interface will also provide an Ethernet port for connecting to the wide area network. . The wireless interface will provide wireless port for connecting to or accepting connection from another wireless device. Moreover, the wireless interface will produce some virtual interfaces to handle the different wireless connections.
In this paper, we will descripe that how to set the different network interfaces behavior of the AP router to support the specified function for the different kinds of network infrastructure. And then, we can complete the request for the multi-mode AP Router from the vendors and customers.
